Abstract

A monochrome camera scans the entry to an apartment block. Its output at video frequency is modulated either within normal receiver bands or out of band. The RF signal is mixed into the common aerial system distribution to the individual apartments. Signal separators can be used to feed modified receivers if the modulation is out of band. If a call is originated local to the camera at the entrance, a bell is rung in the apartment. The receiver can be function switched to receive normal programmes or camera output. The receiver, if switched off, can also be switched on by call via a signal generator.
