Abstract

The box is folded from single sheet of cardboard or similar material. Two of the four pieces which form the bottom are extended by flaps which come together to form a central division running the length of the box. The other two pieces also have extensions which pass through the other two flaps via slots, so forming transverse dividers. The dimensions of the extensions are such that the internal divisions so formed extend the full depth of the box. At least one of the pieces forming the base has a small side extension which prevents boxes coming into contact when built into stacks for storage, so forming ventilation passages between boxes.
