Abstract

Fine particles of polyethylene terephthalate for use as fillers, e.g., in polethylene terephthalate moulding and extrusion materials, have an m.pt. of >=280 degrees C, esp. 285 degrees C, and an average particle size of 100 mu. The particles have good thermal stability, resistance to atmospheric agent, and resistance to chemical prodts.; they act as stabilisers for increasing the dimensional stability of polyethylene terephthalate mouldings, and lubricants during the extrusion of polyethylene terephthalate film.
