Abstract

Archimedean screw transporter to carry manure in particular from a tip-up truck to a spreading machine or similar. The transporter consists of an open topped hopper from which leads a pipe, with the screw running in the bottom of the hopper and pushing material up the pipe. The transporter hangs behind the lorry platform such that when raised the material slides down and out through an opening into the hopper. The screw can be driven by a telescopic shaft and universal joint or by a hydraulic motor.
