Abstract

Distribution channels for thin components, such as discs, have at least one internal protrusion running the whole length of channel to act as a guide for the disc. The height of the guide above the surface on which the disc runs is equal to the disc radius. A variation has two longitudinal guides, the gap between them being greater than one, but less than two, thicknesses of the disc. The sides and tops and bottoms of the channels sections can be either straight or curved. The guides are pref. formed as wires or bars welded to the inner surfaces of the channels.
