Abstract

The accurate level measuring pressure device permits direct reading of levels using simple, non-adjustable permits shockproof elements. It provides direct reading by means of the deflection of an elastic chamber connected to a master chamber. Mercury is used to detect levels in the master chamber and to generate the pressure within the elastic chamber. The mercury meniscus is read off against a graduated scale, or may actuated a contact switch by the use of a small inflatable air balloon situated above the mercury tube.
