Abstract

The stopper has an external circular portion glued to the top and inner stopper sleeve is braced by radial triangular webs to improve stopper sealing. The rim of the external portion is retained by limited angular sections such that it can be folded back to form two gripping pieces which are used to remove stopper. One form of the inner stopper has a small hollow on top to be filled with glue. The exterior of the inner stopper has a peripheral lip to compensate for variations in bottle neck size.
