Abstract

The sweep arm has a safety detent connection to the drive and a stop for limiting its angular movement so that it is automatically rephased with the drive when the safety detent has been disengaged. The stop may either comprise a horizontal shot in the drive shaft which cooperates with a pin extending through a body casting or a horizontal pin attached to the drive shaft which cooperates with spaced stop rods on an externally mounted stop plate.
