Abstract

A multi-compartment storage vessel for fluids has in it a number of pockets made from flexible material forming a number of chambers of variable volume for storage and >=1 chamber for an auxiliary fluid, the pressure of which can be transmitted across the walls of the chambers to the stored fluids. The flexible material of the chambers is extended to concentric outlets so that their openings are all in the same plane. Means of charging and discharging the separate chambers consist of pipes fitted into the annular spaces between the outlets. The joints between the flexible material of the outlets of the chambers and the outer surfaces of the pipes are made fluid-tight by clamps. These clamped joints also ensure fluid-tightness between the chambers themselves.
