Abstract

Satd. tubular fabric is drawn out of the treatment bath in a wet state and spreaders hold it out for presentation to squeeze rollers. At the gap between the rollers, a suction unit is provided with a lateral slit to draw out air trapped between the layers of the fabric, and sufficient fluid. By preventing internal ballooning in the tubular fabric, no stretching stresses are imposed on the material which could lead to distortion.
