Abstract

The parent application discloses Ni-Fe base alloy, which is pptn. hardened by a suitable heat-and aging treatment. The eta- and delta-phase of this alloy is not stable at brazing temp. of 985 degrees C. The compsn. of the alloy is modified to give a brazeable alloy and contains 0.1% C, 0.5% Mn, 0.5% Si, 0.5% Cr, 0.5% Mo, 45% Ni pref. 38-42% (formerly 35-40%), 18% Co pref. 15-17% (13-17%), 3-7% Nb, pref. 4-6% (2.5-6%), 2-4% Ti, pref. 2.5-3.5% (1-3%). The alloy contains in addition 0.75-1.5% Al, and 0.005-0.020% B.
