Abstract

A moulding, esp. for bearings or the like requiring high impact strength and extension at rupture, is made of a thermosetting resin, pref. a polyimide (a reaction product of N,N'-4,4'-diphenylmethane-bismaleimide and 4,4'-diamino-diphenylmethane) which contains reinforcement parallel to the outer surfaces of the moulding and close to the sides. The reinforcement is pref. metal wire mesh or sieves or unwoven materials made exclusively of metal fibres or a mixt. with non-metallic fibres.
