Abstract

Simulated fur fabric knitting machine in which fibres of at >=2 types are knitted into the backing of the fabric according to a predetermined pattern is provided with devices supplying the different fibre types to the knitting station at which the fibres are knitted into the fabric under the influence of a controller. Controller includes a control program providing a representation of the predetermined pattern which is sensed by photo-electric sensors producing electric signals. Signals are supplied to the knitting needles to actuate them selectively according to the pattern representation on the control program.
