Abstract

A high speed roller for a textile processing machine comprises a roller shell secured to the shaft of a drive motor, and an annulus (pref. air clip) which presents at assymetric wt. in rotatable in pref. a circumferentially extending channel in the inner surface of the shell to allow the balance of the shell to be adjusted. Two independently adjustable air clips may be arranged adjacent each other. Pref. the shell has an internal concentric sleeve which is bolted onto the motor shaft by an axial bolt and pref. the or each air clip is arranged adjacent the head of this bolt. The arrangement is simple and allows accurate balancing of the roller shell after it has been attached to the motor.
