Abstract

Antistats are based on aziridine derives. of formula (I) and (II): Cpd. (I) or (II) is applied in 1 or 2 baths, together with a carboxyl-gp. -contg. polymer (III) or its salt, onto the synth. material to be made antistatic, and fixed at 110-150 degrees C. Esp. suitable for polyester fibrous materials which are not resistant to the rel. high temps. usually necessary in prior-art processes. (III) may be a high mol. (m. wt. is not >1000000) cpd. e.g. polymer (meth)-acrylic acid, crotonic acid or its copolymer with e.g. styrene, diallylphthalate, (meth)acrylamide, a (meth)acrylate. Good resistance to laundering and high soil repellency are obtd.
