L-Arginine pantothenate is prepd by passing a salt of pantothenic acid through an ion exchange resin to form the free acid, adding the calculated quantity of L-arginine, evapg. in vacuo and eliminating last traces of water by azeotropic distn with iso-butanol, MEK, or butyl ether.
