Abstract

The nozzle is at one end of the gun barrel and a cap screwed to the other end carries a hand operated, spring loaded, double lever mechanism, with a one way latch engaging the actuator rod of the expulsion piston, a similar latch acting in the same sense being fitted in the bush of the cap to prevent run back of the piston. The latches are cup springs each with diametrically opposite pairs of tongues which allow the rod to pass forwards but dig in to prevent it running backwards.
