Abstract
The capacitor comprises a number of zones consisting of thin insulating or dielectric material, >=1 zone of an open pore ceramic material between these zones, which open material extends to an outer surface of the component and a permeable boundary layer on the surface on top of this outer surface. The capacitor is made by sintering together of wafers of the impervious material with the open pore material followed by metal infiltration of the porous ceramic zones.
