Abstract

A mouldable polyester (inh. visc. 0.75-4.0) comprises as acid component, 50-93 mol.% terephthalic acid units and 50-7 mol.% 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylate units. The glycol component consists of tetramethyleneglycol units. The polyester contains 10-40 wt.% based on the other components of a poly(alkylene oxide)glycol having 2-4C atoms, mol.wt. 400-6000. Used in mfre. of impact resistant mouldings eg. steering wheels, bumpers, water hoses.
