Abstract

Title compsns. contain (a) a cpd. of formula (I): (where X is NH2, monoalkylamino or -OR1; R1, R2 and R3 are H, an alkali(ne earth) cation or a cation of the formula: +NR4R5R5R7 in which R4-R7 are H or 1-20C alkyl) and (b) an inert carrier. (I) have the property of inhibiting the growth of certain ornamental and crop plants with a certain specificity and also display herbicidal activity against certain undesired weeds. The herbicidal action of (I) is selective in that (I) act systemically and can be applied to emerged weeds before the emergence of the crop plants.
