Abstract

In a typical application where deep-drawn containers are shaped from a continuous band and filled with margarine, a similar band lies across the line of the container band with deep-drawn lids with connecting ribs. When aligned with the filled containers the lids are pressed home, shearing the connecting ribs, allowing lid and container to be pressed out of the band on to a conveyor.
