Abstract

The assembly for moving uniformly or differentially distributed loads on supports at parallel or different levels comprises (a) a no. of head pistons connected at their base through their rods to a common plate base piston, and by a no. of pipes their upper ends communicate with a no. of lifting pistons or jacks whose upper ends support the load to be moved, and (b) a central pump connected via a multi-way distributor to the base piston and to each of the pipes which terminate below the lifting pistons; the pipes connect the upper chambers of the head pistons to the jack chambers, i.e. the base of the jack pistons; the length of the fluid columns formed between the summit of the head pistons and the base of the lifting pistons being determined by the posn. of the point of support of the load on the corresponding jack.
