Abstract

The hardenable cement mixt. in fluid state is introduced into a centrifugal mould with a fixed base plate and is centrifuged to form a cylindrical body, then, before the cement mixture hardens, a mandrel with a smooth surface is inserted into the centre of the mass and is removed with the cylindrical body adhering to it. The body is then slit longitudinally and rolled out onto a flat surface, where it is left to harden. The process can be applied to non flat surfaces, e.g. corrugated and permits uniformly dense board to be made consistently.
