Abstract

The device comprises a valve with a pressure chamber, which has a passage chamber for feeding the compressed air directly into the moulding sand bin. This chamber has inlets, which may be closed to permit the intermittent interconnection of the two chambers. The passage chamber is also connected with the surrounding atmosphere via a blow out chamber, this connection being opened synchronously with closing of the inlets into the passage chamber. The system permits instantaneous operation whilst at the same time requiring very little power for the operation of the pneumatically operated plate valves employed. It is used in sand foundry mould box filling machines.
