Abstract

The compsn comprises 75% atomised Na silicate, 20% water, 4.95% K silicate (K2) and 0.05% colourant. Specif. an anti-fermentation plastic is included to stabilise the compsn. made up in the proportions: 0.2 kg resin (SPD Altulite 5.224), 1.0 kg CHCl3 and 3.8 kg methylene chloride. The compsn. is suitable for fireproofing wood, cardboard, paper etc, and does not generate noxious fumes when heated.
