Abstract

Antistatic compns. contg. (1) the salt of an alkali metal of at.wt. >=23 or of a mono- or di-ester of phosphoric acid or a mixt. of both, the ester being derived from an 8-22C aliphatic alcohol and (2) a binder chosen from nitrocellulose and methyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid copolymer. Those binders have high softening points and treated substrate can be dried at high temp. without risk of transfer on rollers of processing equipment. When using K cetyl phosphate as antistatic in a methanol/2-methoxymethanol solvent mixt. the above binders prevent pptn. of the salt at room temp.
