Abstract

The parent patent describes antistatic compns. contg. as antistatic agents, the salt of an alkali metal of at. no. >=23 or of a mono or di ester of phosphoric acid, or a mixt. of both, the ester being derived from an 8-22C aliphatic alcohol or an aryl alcohol, the compsn. also contg. a binder. In the present addition the binder comprises a soluble polycarbonate or polyamide. These resins have a high softening point and enable treated substrates to be dried at high temp. without risk of transfer on rollers of processing equipment. The solubility of the binders also allows the compsns. to be applied onto cellulose triacetate or polyethylene terephthalate supports.
