Abstract

The tension of the warp thread is sensed by a differential transformer transducer in the input circuit of a variable frequency oscillator, used to trigger a thyristor ring counter feeding the three phase coils of the stepping motor. A change over switch in the feed to these coils enables the motor to be driven continuously in either direction from a separate supply unit.
