Abstract

Tray is made of an expanded plastic material (polystyrene, polyurethane), and features recesses on its upper and lower faces for locating staggered rows of bottles packed in alternating head-to-tail patterns and shallow walls at the ends of the recesses inhibit longitudinal movements of each bottle. Pref. a single tray pattern is used which is complementary when alternate trays are turned through 180 degrees. Uses relatively little of the foam material to separate and locate bottles into compact groups for transport and storage.
