Abstract

Knitted panty hose is formed by securing (e.g. stitching) two knitted leg portions to respective leg openings of a knitted panty portion. Pref. the top pieces of each tubular leg portion are cut off along downwardly inclined lines, and the top pieces form respectively the front and back panels of the panty portion and are secured together along side seams together with a double gusset which forms the crutch. The panty hose does not have the usual central seam, making them more comfortable to wear.
