Abstract

Therapeutic compsns. comprising deconjugated bile acids and total, dried pancrease in a ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 w/w. For treatment of obesity. The bile acids, desoxycholic acid slows the absorption of glucose and fatty acids. The association of dried pancrease with the bile acids avoids digestive disorders as side-effects. Bile acids may be present as salts, e.g. the sodium salts. Pancreas is pref. freeze-dried to retain the enzyme activity.
