Abstract

Method of continuously coating steel tubes with thermoplastics consists of inductively heating the tubes as they pass end-to-end, coating them with powder which is then melted by the heat, then cooling them. A band or sheet of reinforcing material, pref. glass fibre or other woven fabric or a non-woven fabric, is also wound on and embedded in the thermoplastics.
