Abstract
The proteinaceous material is prepd. by continuous culture of methane-using microorganisms under constant condns. to yield at least 0.81g. (dry wt.) microorganisms per litre per hour in an aq. growth medium contg. nutrient salts and ammonium ions, while maintaining the pH at 4.5-8.0 and the ammonium ion concn. at 2-100 mg/l.
