Abstract
Sintered Ti alloy produced by heating =1.188 mm size particles of an alpha-beta Ti alloy at a temp. > the beta transformation temp., isostatically pressing the particles to >95% theoretical density, cooling to 42 degrees C below the beta transition temp., annealing at 680-845 degrees C, furnace-cooling to 480-595 degrees C and finally air-cooling to room temp. The resulting alloy has a fine grained Widmanstatten structure with short thick alpha platelets and a max. grain size of 0.5mm.
