Abstract
A culture of an enzyme-producing micro-organism is formed in an aq. nutrient medium, a concn. of >=0.2g/l of a polyvalent metallic ion of At-No 26-30 being maintained in the nutrient. The nutrient medium is allowed to ferment and the solids suspended therein are separated, the residual liq. medium rich in enzyme being recovered. Metallic ions are pref. Cu or Zn and the micro-organisms are pref. moulds of the Cephalosporium, Aleurisonium or Acremonium sp.
