Abstract
The enzyme may be of exocellular or endocellular origin and may be used in the form of an impure extract. Suitable enzymes are those produced by Bacillus licheniformis 6346 and Bacillus cereus 569. The process gives very concentrated solns of 6-aminopenicillanic acid, which cannot be obtd by previous processes.
