Abstract

Transport pallets of rigid foamed plastic material with feet reinforced by caps are produced by placing solid thermoplastic reinforcing caps with projections in the mould, filling the mould with foam granules and effecting foaming in the usual manner so that the projections of the caps are enclosed by and firmly fixed by the expanded foam. The pallets are protected against damage caused by abrasion against rough ground or floors. A wide range of thermoplastic materials with a good resistance to chemicals and abrasion can be used in the reinforcing caps.
