Abstract

In a process for degreasing metal workpieces (I) using an org. solvent pref. liq. tri- or per-chloroethylene (I) are immersed in the solvent then withdrawn through a low density liq. layer pref. turbulent H2O and opt. in the case of cleaning by condenser using gaseous or mixed solvent, through a gaseous or vapour protective layer pref. hot air. (I) are dried outside the degreasing chamber opt. in the zone contg. the protective layer pref. by a current of hot air.
