Abstract

Bulk materials like sand, gravel, chemicals etc., are simultaneously conveyed and size-sorted in a shaker channel having a base, side-walls and transverse partitions extending across the channel and of a height less than that of the side walls. Each partition can have its top edge flush with the top of the side walls, to leave a materials passage beneath the partition, or it can rest on the base of the channel, to provide a passage for large particles to be shaken over the top of the partition. A combination of high and low level partitions can be fitted in a single channel, and grade outlets cut in the channel as required.
