Abstract

The lead has an off centre spreading system and contains at least one transmit transducer and one receive transducer in each case, a horizontal tube esp. of piezo electric material, perpendicular to a plane contg. the axis of the head and such that their polar diagrams are centred in that plane the direction of reception being independent of that of transmission and a measure of the earth formations being surveyed by diagraphy. The body is an attenuator for cross talk between send and receive transducers.
