Abstract
The machine comprises (a) first and second loops of perforated forming cloths, the first pref. of plastic and the second of metal, supported so as to define an aperture or space for the introduction of the pulp, (b) a feed box with an adjustable outlet for directing a stream of the pulp into the aperture between the cloths downstream from which the latter define a forming zone where the pulp is formed into a continuous web, (c) a roller for changing the direction of the cloth with the loop of the first web-forming cloth, downstream of the forming zone, (d) a wet-pressing roll within the loop of the second cloth between the web-forming zone and the roller for changing the direction, and round which both cloths are wrapped, (e) rollers within the loop of the second cloth downstream from the wet-pressing roll for separating this cloth from the first cloth, (f) a device associated with the wet-pressing roll which permits the continuous web to follow the second web-forming cloth downstream from the wet-pressing roll after separation of the first web-forming cloth.
