Abstract
Device consists of a syringe which is fixed to a block which can slide along a vertical rod. The rod is fixed onto a base above which is a ring-shaped rotatable platform, on which are placed two vessel containing the solution for analysis, each having two other vessels to hold the sample carriers, and two sets of five vessels, one set each containing a new conical tip for the syringe and the other set in which to deposit the used ones. All these are equidistant from the axis of the platform. The tip is removed from the syringe by a fork which its a wall beside the vessels as the syringe is lowered there, and so the tip is knocked off. The machinery working the apparatus can all be electrical and worked by remote control.
