Abstract

Thioorganic-metal complex of formula (I) (in which M is transition metal, Zn, Cd, Sn, Pb, Sb, Bi of oxidation state, R is 1-20C (halo)hydrocarbyl, contg. 0-3 O, S or N atoms; X is 1-20C divalent hydrocarbyl contg. 0-3 O, S or N atoms; Z is O or S, at least one in cpd. being S) are used as additives to hydraulic fluids, transformer oils, elastomers or lubricants esp. as antioxidants, anti-wear and extreme-pressure additives to synthetic or petroleum lube oils.
