Abstract

Packing of textile articles under at least a partial vacuum, particularly when putting them on sale, by using a single package for each individual article e.g. pair of tights, stockings, socks, slip etc., which is smaller than that normally used for packing the same article mechanically and in contact with atmospheric air, and by inserting each article loose with the production of a vacuum which can cause a major part, but not necessarily all of the air to be removed up to the moment of closing the package.
