Abstract

Device is intended partic. for feeding growing biological cultures in tanks, the capacity of which may vary from 38-380 litres. The liquid which has to be measured is stored in a reservoir with an outlet pipe at its base. A measuring recipient, located inside the reservoir or outside, is in the form of a vertical column and is connected to the reservoir by a two-way full bore valve. A discharge pipe evacuates the liquid from the vertical recipient, when the valve is placed in its other position, to the culture vessel. A timing device is provided so that the filling and emptying of the measuring recipient is effected at definite intervals of time. The level of the liquid in the reservoir is maintained by a float-valve and this, therefore, controls the liquid level in the measuring recipient.
