Abstract

Cellulose packaging film is coated on both faces with a heat sealable coating, the coating on the outer face being more impermeable to water vapour than the coating on the inner face. The coated cellulose film forms an efficient barrier to the penetration or loss of moisture from a package. Packages made of the film only deform to a limited extent even when stored for a long period under conditions of highly varying humidity.
