Abstract

Fire-proofing mixture consists of 25 to 75% by wt. of natural latex, and/or butadiene-styrene latex, and/or butadiene acrylonitrile latex, and 75 to 25% of a copolymer of (a) 30 to 70% of butadiene, (b) 70 to 30% of vinylidene chloride, and (c) 0 to 5% of unsatd. carboxylic acid. The preferred carboxylic acids are (meth)acrylic, fumaric and/or itaconic acids. The latex is vulcanised by S, ZnO and accelerator, and contains as additives continuous anhydride Al2O3 zinc borate, and/or chloro-paraffin. The mixture is used for coating fibres, fibrous products and textile fabrics.
