Abstract

A strip of reinforcing material, e.g. opt. magnetised steel, carbon or glass fibres, is displaced through a die opening and flexible polymer extruded around the strip and hardened. The strip is almost flat and the handrail has a C-shaped cross section. Its prodn. is easy and economical.
