Abstract
Apparatus for bringing fluid media of different densities into intimate contact, comprising a vertical cylindrical housing, with a series of shape-perforated plate stator rings arranged at a specific angle to the axis, and within which a shaft fitted with a series of shape-perforated plate discs rotates, the perforations in the stator rings and rotating discs being direction-oriented and their arrangement in the shape-perforated plate being selected in such a way that those in the stator rings point in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the discs. Partic. expanded metal is used as the shape-perforated plate with direction oriented perforations.
