Abstract

An offshore oil transfer hose which can be selectively submerged or allowed to float has a central oil flow conduit surrounded by a collapsible outer conduct defining an annular inflation chamber around the oil conduit. Ribs on the oil conduit support the outer conduit when deflated, and prevent excessive local deformation of that conduit from trapping pockets of air.
